Why swimming?

Swimming is a great exercise for everyone. It improves cardiovascular fitness (thus improving heart and lung function), strength, endurance, flexibility and balance.
Swimming is a life skill and studies have shown that learning to swim from a young age provides long term benefits in confidence, social recognition as well as physical and cognitive development. Participating in parent and baby classes between the ages of 6 to 12 months is also a great way to build coordination and confidence in the water while learning water safety skills at the same time.
